S4
Pupils in S4 continue working on either the music with performing or music with technology course they began in S3. Pupils come to the department 3 periods each week and engage in composition, performing and listening activities. Music with technology pupils also work on a sound engineering folio.
Hopefully over the year we will be able to use this blog for homework tasks, NAB dates and assessment deadlines as well as using it as a forum to show parents and friends videos and photos of your progress in the department.

Music Prelim Exams
The date for the music listening prelims has been changed and these exams will now take place on MONDAY 28th JANUARY at the following times.
Higher: 9 – 10am in the hall
Int 1: 10 – 11am (See Miss Dingwall for Rooms)
Int 2: 11 – 12 in the hall
Advanced Higher: 1:30 – 2:30pm in the hall

Blood Brothers Trip
The music and drama departments enjoyed an excellent trip to see Blood Brothers at the end of November. All pupils thoroughly enjoyed their day, here are a few photos!
Scottish Opera: La Traviata
Would all pupils going to see La Traviata on Tuesday please meet at the front of the school at 5:20pm. Bus leaves at 5:30. If you haven’t already paid please see Ms Gow ASAP.
S4 Homework October 2012
Both S4 classes will be given literacy homework each Tuesday over the next few months. Each week a new section of the booklet will be covered in class and pupils must complete exercises at home.
4th Year Performing Class: Deadline Dates
The 4th year performing class are currently doing performing assessments in class, please remember to bring music and instruments to each lesson.
Also first draft of compositions are due on Tuesday 9th October. Remember if you need extra help with this please come along to composition study club on Monday 3-4pm.
